Assist in the preparation and review of export and import documentation, including commercial invoices, or origin, and other required documents
Coordinate with internal departments, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to facilitate the smooth flow of export and import shipments
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, custom procedures, and Incoterms for both export and import activities
Communicate effectively with international clients, suppliers, and partners to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide updates on shipment status
Maintain accurate records of export and import documentation, shipment details, and customs clearance processes
Monitor shipment schedules, transit times, and delivery dates to ensure on – time delivery of goods to customers and receipt of materials from suppliers
Assist in resolving discrepancies or delays in shipment documentation or customs clearance processes
Support the implementation of process improvements to streamline export and import documentation procedures and enhance efficiency
Stay updated on changes in international trade regulations, import/ export laws, and customs requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
Provide administrative support to the export/ import department a needed, including filing, data entry, and correspondence management
Qualifications:
B.Com in Any Specialization (Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, international trade or related field could be an asset)
Proven experience in export operations within the steel industry or similar manufacturing sectors
Strong understanding or International trade regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse clients
Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience with export documentation software preferred
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
